KASA Kayak Angling Certified Training to be offered soon

It's been recognized by many of the leaders in the Kayak Angling Community that to the uninitiated, the idea of fishing from a kayak is a completely foreign concept, and in fact so intimidating that the individual might never consider engaging in this great sport.

We are going to change that by offering a standardized, certified course of training - one that will be informative to both neophyte and intermediate anglers alike.

We are currently working with well known kayak fishing instructors and American Canoe Association (ACA) instructors to create a KASA Kayak Angling Certified Instructor course, which will result in a cadre of qualified Kayak Angling Instructors being distributed throughout the nation.

By combining the best of the Kayak Angling world with the safety and paddling concepts taught through ACA, we'll be offering kayak anglers the opportunity to most fully enjoy this sport safely, and productively, and students of the KASA Kayak Angling course will go out on to the waters confident and prepared for most anything that comes their way.

We expect our first group of trainers to be certified by January of 2008, and very soon thereafter you'll begin to see this course offered throughout the nation.
